Information for people whose careers are at a crossroads will be on hand at two drop-in sessions coming up in the next two weeks.
Aberdeen City Council’s Employability, Skills and Community Enterprise Team has linked up with the Aberdeen Employability Training Providers Forum to run the sessions for anyone aged 16 to 60 who needs help to pinpoint potential career and training options.
The first session will be held at Danestone Community Centre on Friday 26 June 12noon–3pm, and the second at Rosemount Community Centre on Friday 03 July 2–5pm.
Advisors will be there from Station House Media Unit Pathways, Aberdeen Guarantees, ITCA Training and Barnardo’s to explain the wide range of options available.
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about and apply for positions on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR). An AWPR representative will attend both sessions to answer any questions and help with applications. Employment opportunities include engineers, administration support, laboratory technicians, construction roles and trainee positions.
Aberdeen City Council Leader Councillor Jenny Laing said: “These sessions are designed to put people in direct touch with the experts who can help them map out a new career path.
