Award winning engineering consultancy, Katoni Engineering, have signed an enhanced one-year agreement to remain as an official partner of Aberdeen FC, further increasing its investment to continue its support of AFC Women.

Aberdeen-headquartered Katoni Engineering have been long-term supporters of the Dons and proud principal sponsors of the Katoni Cup, the Club’s hugely successful elite youth tournament. Following the success of their partnership last season, their logo will now continue to feature prominently on the shorts of the women’s team this season.

The Katoni Cup, held every January at Aberdeen Sports Village, continues to be a flagship youth tournament in Scotland, fostering the growth and development of pro-youth players which aligns with Katoni Engineering ethos of supporting the next generation of young talent in the region.

James Bream, CEO at Katoni Engineering, is delighted to continue their partnership work with AFC and be able to support the women’s game in the North-east.

He said: “We continue to focus on growing our business, brand and culture at Katoni all with a competitive spirit at the heart of what we do. The Women’s team achieved great things last year and we felt compelled to continue supporting them on their growth journey. Committing for two years hopefully provides stability and continuity that is required to build a team and success.

“Once again, we believe it’s important to empower young talent and to responsibly support where we can in our local community. This partnership isn’t just about football it’s about demonstrating leadership, helping AFC ladies move forward and being there through both the good and challenging times”.

Robbie Hedderman, Aberdeen FC Commercial Director, added: “The move by Katoni Engineering to continue to strengthen their presence with the Club, and in particular their support of AFC Women is an important strategic move from a forward-thinking organisation who identified the clear advantages of being part of the wider AFC family.

“We are pleased to have collaborated with them to take a creative approach to their partnership and I look forward to watching our relationship continue to flourish.”
