Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) has launched a new initiative that recognises corporate partners for their support of the charity.
The Corporate Patron Programme brings together businesses that want to play a meaningful role in helping the Trust support the community, while gaining recognition for their contribution.
Companies can join the scheme by supporting the Trust at one of six recognition levels. The programme aims to involve patrons in AFCCT’s work and enable them to connect with the delivery of its projects. Benefits include exclusive access to annual AFCCT events, unique networking opportunities and official recognition at Aberdeen FC’s home, Pittodrie Stadium.
Support from Corporate Patrons will enable the Trust to sustain and grow programmes across the North-east, as well as introduce new projects that further AFCCT’s mission to support the local community.
With more than ten patrons already signed up to the new initiative, the programme is set to kick off at Pittodrie in late November with the first AFCCT Corporate Patron networking event.
Commenting on the new initiative, AFCCT Partnerships Executive, Jim Leighton MBE, said: “The Corporate Patron Programme is a fantastic way to involve and recognise those who support AFCCT, while giving something back. Some of the patrons have been long-standing supporters of the Trust, and we wanted to bring a fresh perspective to how we interact with those who support us most. Ultimately, we share the same goal: to continue providing community support throughout the North-east.”
“We are grateful to the patrons who have already signed up and look forward to working with them over the next year as we establish our new programme.”
The Corporate Patron Programme is also championed by Alex McLeish OBE and Willie Miller MBE after they were announced as AFCCT Patron’s earlier this year.
