Leading workplace technology provider Agilico is supporting the stars of the future by sponsoring a UK-wide initiative which supports children preparing to make the big move from primary to secondary school.
We’re off to the Big School is a free virtual session which brings
children who are set to start secondary school in September together. Broadcast
live on YouTube, it is open to Year Six pupils currently in their final year of
primary education.
The initiative launched in Scotland in 2022 and following
its success, was rolled out across the border into England last year. For 2026,
it will take in the whole of the UK, with organisers hoping it will attract
tens of thousands of young viewers.
The 75-minute live stream is set to be a high energy celebration,
designed to arm pupils with confidence, inspiration and motivation as they
prepare for the next big step in their academic journey.
It will include a virtual quiz, words of wisdom and advice from
special guests, good luck messages from celebrities and a myth-busting session
which will tackle the most common big school rumours.
We’re off to the Big School was devised by Crescent Purchasing
Consortium (CPC) a not-for-profit charitable organisation which helps
educational institutions buy products and services, including frameworks,
dynamic purchasing systems and more.
Agilico’s Head of Marketing, Sam Saunders, explained how the firm
has a longstanding relationship with CPC and has always been supportive of its
work to help schools and pupils.
“We have long been a big supporter of CPC and its educational events and we were impressed with the idea of Off to the Big School as soon as we heard about it,” he said.
“It began in Scotland and the CPC decided to bring it across the border and we were keen to get involved and offer our support. Agilico has always been a huge supporter of the education sector and we’re always eager to champion anything which has a positive impact on young minds.
“Moving up from primary to secondary school is a huge moment in every youngster’s life - it’s a memory which sticks with you for a lifetime. We can all remember our first day at secondary school and the nerves we felt in the weeks and months leading up to it.
“Off to the Big School is a fantastic initiative because it addresses those fears and debunks the rumours and misinformation, giving children confidence and building excitement for the next stage in life - and Agilico is proud to be a supporter of this amazing initiative.”
