Aldi and B&M are set to open their first stores in Fraserburgh if a new £12million retail park in the town gets the go-ahead.

Colaren Homes, the developer behind the planned retail park, said the retail park would attract major investment in the area and generate more than 100 jobs, in addition to 150-plus roles during construction.

Artist's impression images for the site at Colaren Quays Business Park, seen by The Press and Journal, show large Aldi and B&M stores as well as a drive-thru and takeaway unit.

A full planning application is expected to be submitted in the coming months, with construction likely to get under way before the end of 2026.

Colin Smith, the managing director of Colaren Homes, said: “This is good news for Fraserburgh.

“Colaren Quays will not only bring in much-needed retail variety for shoppers in the whole of Aberdeenshire but also create new employment opportunities and attract inward investment into the town."
