R+R Fitness is set to open this month at Aberdeen Energy Park, having agreed terms with AM Sci Tech, to occupy the Innovation Centre in Bridge of Don, marking an exciting addition to the area’s growing range of amenities.

The deal sees R+R Fitness take a lease on the 13,433 sq ft Innovation Centre, following a successful change of use application to Aberdeen City Council by the landlord, to facilitate its conversion into a modern fitness facility. The lease has been agreed for a term of five years.

The gym will offer high-quality health and fitness facilities for both local residents and the wider business community within the area. It features state of the art equipment, a cardiovascular studio, fitness studio, private workout room, wellness hub and on-site apparel brand.

The operator opened its doors with a soft launch on the 11 April, welcoming members of the public to explore the new facility. More than 200 people attended, demonstrating strong support and interest in R+R Fitness. The official launch is scheduled for later this month.

The Innovation Centre is a standalone building, set over two floors. It offers a bright welcoming foyer, with the calming environment of a beautiful atrium, with natural light from the large glass roof.

Gordon Pirie, Fund Manager at AM Sci Tech, said: “We are delighted to have secured an occupier that will bring a valuable and complementary use to the park. The introduction of the R+R Fitness gym aligns with our vision to enhance on-site amenities and support the fitness and well-being of occupiers across the Energy Park and wider area.”

“In addition, the surrounding neighbourhood has seen a surge in new residential developments in recent years, creating a significant demand for local amenities, particularly fitness and leisure facilities.”

Freddy Ho, Managing Director of R+R Fitness added: “We’re delighted to be bringing our gym and wellness centre to Aberdeen Energy Park. The Innovation Centre provides an excellent space for us to create a high-quality fitness environment, for individuals seeking well-being in body and mind.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming members from both the business community and the surrounding area. Our upcoming soft launch will give people an early opportunity to experience what we have to offer.”

The new facility will feature a range of fitness equipment and services tailored to a broad membership base, contributing to the continued evolution of Bridge of Don as a well-rounded destination for both work and lifestyle.
