The annual ANM Group Charity Golf Day, held on Thursday, September 11 at Maverston Golf Course, brought together 87 golfers for a day of competition in support of local cancer and haematology charity, Friends of ANCHOR.
The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, with Regency Car Sales – Elgin as main sponsor, alongside contributions from FWM Investments. Catering was kindly donated by Harry Fraser Catering, who treated participants to a post-game BBQ.
Despite the windy conditions, players rose to the challenge and enjoyed a fantastic day on the course. Golfers also had the chance to win a £1,000 cash prize with a hole-in-one at the 7th hole, though luck was not on anyone’s side this year.
Competition was close, with the Aberdein Considine team led by Rod Hutchinson securing victory by the narrowest of margins – just 0.1 net score ahead of runners-up, Space Solutions.
Prizes were presented by ANM Group Board Member and event organiser, Mark Gall, who commented, “The day was incredibly well supported, and we are grateful to all our sponsors for their generosity. Thanks to their contributions, and the support of everyone who took part, we were able to raise a fantastic total for Friends of ANCHOR, a charity close to many people’s hearts.”
Friends of ANCHOR provides direct support for cancer and haematology patients across the North-east of Scotland, funding vital projects, equipment, and services.
