Leading North-east co-operative, ANM Group has announced it has raised £10,157 for Friends of ANCHOR throughout 2025, following a series of staff-led fundraising activities supported by the generosity of members and customers.

The total reflects a strong collective effort across the business, with employees coming together to support the vital work of the north-east cancer support charity.

Fundraising activities throughout the year included the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, completing the 18-mile route from Banchory to Duthie Park, the annual ANM golf day held at Maverston Golf Course, and a series of smaller staff-led initiatives including bake sales and Christmas jumper days.

The generosity and continued support of ANM’s members and customers also played an important role in the Group’s fundraising efforts. Sincere thanks go to Norman McEwan of Gilrivie Cottage, Montrose, Brian Anderson of Seafield House, Lerwick and D Sharp of Seats, Alford who each made kind donations to the chosen charity following sheep sales at Aberdeen and Northern Marts.

Grant Rogerson, chief executive of ANM Group, said: “This total raised reflects the dedication and generosity of our staff, alongside the continued support of our members, customers, partners and sponsors.

"Supporting charities such as Friends of ANCHOR is an important part of ANM Group’s commitment to the communities we serve, and I am grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy and support to our fundraising activities over the past year.”

Friends of ANCHOR provides practical, emotional and financial support to patients and families affected by cancer across the north-east of Scotland.

The charity’s head of fundraising and communications, Erica Banks, added: “There’s been a fantastic team effort by ANM Group throughout their year of fundraising. They’ve perfectly balanced the physical challenges, like Aberdeen Kiltwalk and the annual golf day, with the crowd-pleasers like bake sales, which have proved to be a huge hit and something the team has really looked forward to.

"With Friends of ANCHOR, every penny that’s raised goes to the cause as our admin costs are fully funded by Balmoral Group. This means that 100% of ANM’s Group’s brilliant fundraising will have a direct, positive impact on cancer and haematology care locally.”
