Aberdeen-based oil and gas operator Anasuria Operating Company (AOC) is proud to announce the permanent appointment of Mark Parry as offshore installation manager (OIM) on the Anasuria FPSO.

Mark has been an integral part of the Anasuria FPSO team for over six years, initially joining as marine supervisor on a six-month fixed-term contract with Petrofac.

His professionalism and dedication soon led to a permanent role. In 2024, Mark stepped up to provide OIM cover on several occasions, including a longer-term assignment toward the end of the year.

Following this period of consistent leadership and strong performance, AOC is pleased to confirm his official appointment as one of three OIM’s on the Anasuria.

On his appointment as OIM, Mark said: “I began my maritime career in 2003 as a trainee deck officer in the merchant navy with Maersk Line. Over the years, I have served on a wide range of vessel types, mostly within the offshore industry, achieving my Master Mariner qualification.

"In early 2019, I joined the Anasuria as marine supervisor, initially on a six-month fixed-term contract. This role soon evolved and I am now pleased to have been appointed to the position of OIM on a permanent basis.”

The Anasuria FPSO is a unique offshore environment - all core crew roles are delivered by third-party vendors, with the OIM being the only direct AOC role onboard. Mark’s appointment reflects not only his capabilities but also his alignment with AOC’s core values: Be Safe, Be Empowered, Be Authentic, Be Progressive, and Be Exceptional.

Commenting on the appointment, Iain Heneghan, AOC’s operations manager, said: “Mark has proven himself to be a trusted and capable leader. His calm, steady approach, deep operational knowledge, and strong relationships with the crew make him a perfect fit for this key role. We are delighted to welcome him officially to the AOC team and look forward to his continued contribution to the Anasuria’s safe and efficient operation.”

AOC is a one-asset company (a joint venture between Anasuria Hibiscus UK Ltd. and Ping Petroleum Plc.), proudly operating the Anasuria FPSO in the Central North Sea. While the vessel is over 30 years old, it remains young at heart with a vibrant team onboard and a leadership culture that prioritises people, safety, and progress.

2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for AOC, with the Teal West development due to come online. Mark’s leadership, alongside his fellow OIM’s and the wider team, will be instrumental in navigating this next chapter with confidence and care.
