Leading OCTG and accessories supplier, Apex Tubulars, has continued its partnership with international relief and recovery organisation ZOA, donating a further €7000 to help fund the construction of two more homes in Burundi, Eastern Africa.
This marks the second consecutive year that Apex has supported ZOA’s reconstruction initiative, which provides safe and sustainable housing for families affected by devastating storms in the region.
The project began in response to extreme rainfall in 2022 that destroyed homes in the village of Kamakara, leaving many without shelter or resources to rebuild.
Apex’s latest donation builds on the success of last year’s contribution, which helped to fund the reconstruction of 29 homes in partnership with ZOA and Netherlands-based Rollman Equipment BV. Together, these efforts have enabled families to return to secure, weather-resilient housing, improving safety and wellbeing across the community.
The new phase of funding will allow two additional families to benefit from permanent housing, constructed using durable materials designed to withstand future adverse weather conditions.

Since the project began, 50 homes have now been completed in Kamakara. Plans for a further five to 10 homes are already underway, bringing the initiative closer to its goal of supporting all 137 families identified as in need of safe, permanent housing.
