Recognised as a leading stockist and supplier of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and accessories for the global energy market, Apex Tubulars has also built a strong reputation for its dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Staying true to its roots, the business has strengthened its commitment to various CSR initiatives across the North-east over the past year, taking part in environmental conservation projects and investing in local community clubs.

Proudly becoming the first River Dee Guardian in 2023, Apex Tubulars is a long-term supporter of the conservation charity the River Dee Trust, committing time and funding towards the restoration of the River Dee catchment. International Sales Manager at Apex Tubulars, Ronnie Grant, has coordinated his industry connections to help with tree planting and dam building over the years, taking part in the successful planting of over 2,000 trees.

This ongoing partnership with the River Dee Trust has strengthened in recent years, with the Apex team contributing to the charity’s One Million Trees campaign, launched to protect nature such as wild Atlantic salmon, against rising river temperatures.

Claire Fleming of the River Dee Trust commented: "Among the original cohort of River Dee Guardians, Ronnie and the team have committed vital funds, enthusiasm and valuable time to the restoration of our beautiful river, and can regularly be found on the upper Dee, planting native trees, building debris dams and championing our work across the city and shire.

“The Apex team has and continues to play an important role in making our milestone One Million Trees campaign possible.”

In March 2025, Apex Tubulars donated £10,000 to the Russell Anderson Foundation for the second consecutive year. A cause centered around improving the lives of children in socially deprived areas around Aberdeen, the foundation offers life-changing programmes that make a positive impact on the community, building children’s confidence and developing essential life skills. Apex has since helped facilitate a connection between the Russell Anderson Foundation and the Education Officer at the River Dee Trust, encouraging further collaboration for the benefit of local children.

Expanding upon its commitment to improving the lives of young people across Aberdeen, Apex has also extended its financial support to a number of local sports clubs throughout the city and shire, becoming the main sponsor of Banchory Amateurs FC for the 2024/2025 season, as well as sponsoring Aberdeen Grammar Rugby’s 2025 mini-rugby festival, Dyce Boys Club’s training tops, Westdyke Girls Under 16’s football kits for 2025 and Rhythm Nation Dance and Fitness, a Stonehaven-based group that brought home multiple gold medals following the World Dance Championships in 2024.

Further investing in the development of young talent, Apex Tubulars is also proud to support Scottish Motocross rising star, Jaden Anderson, enabling him to secure both titles of 2023 BW85cc and 2024 65cc Scottish Motocross Champion.

Ronnie Grant, International Sales Manager at Apex Tubulars, said: “We’re extremely passionate about supporting both the younger generation and our beautiful North-east landscape, and believe it’s critical that everybody does their bit to protect and nurture the place we call home. If we all do just a little, we can achieve a lot!

“The team at Apex is proud to get involved and give back to the local community - whether that’s taking part in tree planting days along the River Dee, supporting local charities or providing funding to sports clubs that encourage young people to stay active and build confidence. It’s great to see the impact we’ve made locally.”

Apex Tubulars specialises in supplying OCTG products that span a variety of applications, such as offshore wells, deepwater wells, onshore wells, carbon capture, geothermal, coal bed methane, shale gas, and gas storage projects.
