Apex Tubulars has supported Ross Energy AS with the supply and delivery of OCTG and accessories for an exploration well in Zeeland, Denmark, providing fully rig-prepped equipment directly to site within demanding operational timelines.
The project, which took place over two months in 2026, required all equipment to arrive ready to run in the hole, allowing Ross Energy’s team to work efficiently without the need for additional preparation at the wellsite.
With tight project timelines and strict logistical windows, any delay in the supply or preparation of tubulars could have resulted in non-productive time (NPT) on the rig. Dynamic operational conditions also occasionally resulted in unexpected equipment shortages, requiring additional items to be sourced at short notice.
To support the operation, Apex Tubulars used proactive planning, clear communication and close logistical coordination to ensure the required OCTG and pup joints were fully rig-prepped and delivered directly to the wellsite when required.
By anticipating potential logistical challenges before they could impact the rig schedule, Apex achieved a 100% on-time delivery record throughout the project.
The approach also meant Ross Energy received fully rig-prepped OCTG and accessories, eliminating the need for additional handling, inspection or preparation at the wellsite. This allowed operations and engineering teams to remain focused on the safe execution of the well, with confidence that the required casing and accessories would arrive ready for use.
When unexpected equipment shortages arose, Apex also went beyond its contracted scope, using its industry contacts to source equipment it would not typically supply.
