During National Apprenticeship Week, Wonder Grip® has announced the appointment of Ian Hodgkinson - widely known as “The Hod” - as its new brand ambassador.
From starting as a construction apprentice to becoming a nationally recognised TV personality, Ian’s career is a standout grassroots success story, highlighting the vital role apprenticeships continue to play as the foundation of the construction industry.
Rooted in the trades and built around the realities of life on site, Wonder Grip® champions hands-on learning, real-world
skills, and the progression opportunities that begin at the grassroots level and shape long-term careers in construction.
Best known for his long-standing role as Project Manager on DIY SOS, Ian Hodgkinson has built a reputation for
craftsmanship, integrity, and a people-first approach to the trade.
With more than 40 years of hands-on on-site experience, Ian brings practical insight and credibility to the partnership, reflecting the focus Wonder Grip® places on performance, protection, and reliability in real working conditions.
