Scottish children’s hospital charity The Archie Foundation is to honour supporters who have made a difference to local families at its inaugural awards ceremony.
The Archie Founders and Friends Awards – or the AFFAs for short – will celebrate 25 years of Archie, which supports babies, children and families across the North of Scotland.
Sponsored by Peterhead-based Jbs, the awards are open now for anyone to nominate those who have shown exceptional kindness, generosity and commitment to the charity’s work.
Anyone can put forward a colleague, company, friend or family member who deserves to be recognised for their support.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at Aberdeen’s Union Kirk on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Paula Cormack, chief executive of The Archie Foundation, said: “25 years is a long time and with so much achieved and delivered in our first quarter century we want to take the opportunity to look back, reflect and celebrate these achievements.
From Day 1 Archie has been about making the difference for local children. The Archie Foundation was formed in 2000 to support the build of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and to enhance services provided here and at other paediatric facilities across Grampian. Over the years we extended our reach into the Highlands and Tayside and expanded our remit to also provide support for neonates and bereaved children and their families. We pride ourselves being here for babies, children and families when they need us most.
“None of this would have been possible, however, were it not for the incredible generosity of local heroes who give their time, expertise and financial backing to help ensure Archie can provide this vital support. We created the AFFAs to recognise those individuals who have been instrumental in Archie’s success from Day 1 right through to present day.
“We’re calling for nominations for the awards and we’re also inviting Archie supporters to share their memories of what The Archie Foundation has meant for them and their families over the years. We hope to receive lots of nominations and we’re ‘affa’ excited to recognise our special supporters at the awards ceremony in February!”
AFFAs sponsor Jbs is a leading provider of engineering solutions, delivering projects in more than 80 countries and forging client partnerships built on integrity, flexibility and rigorous standards.
Jo McIntosh, Sales & Marketing Director at Jbs, said: “Jbs is hugely proud to sponsor these awards and support the amazing work carried out by The Archie Foundation. So many individuals and organisations play their part in making the charity what it is, and the awards will honour their selfless work.
“Jbs is passionate about the role we play in our local community and these awards epitomise all that we stand for.”
Additional sponsorship packages are also available, starting at £250.
