Local charity Archway is calling on businesses and organisations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to help make its inaugural Archway Charity Ball a night to remember.
Taking place on Saturday 13 March 2027 at The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa, the Ball aims to raise vital funds and awareness for the local, parent-led charity, which supports almost 200 children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and their families.
The event is being organised by three dedicated Archway supporters – Claire Loggie, Ellie Bremner and Libby Munro– who have voluntarily taken on the challenge alongside their own busy work commitments.
Janine Davies, PR & Fundraising Manager at Archway, said: “A flagship event like this is something we have wanted to establish for Archway for many years, but as a small charity with limited resources, we simply haven’t had the capacity to make it happen.
“We are incredibly grateful to Claire, Ellie and Libby for taking on the challenge. Their enthusiasm and commitment have been fantastic, and we’re really excited about what they are creating.
“We would now love businesses and organisations across the North-east to get behind them and help make our first Ball a huge success.”
Archway is currently seeking event sponsors, raffle and silent auction prizes, and donations of products, services or experiences which could help maximise the amount raised on the night.
A range of sponsorship packages is available, with the team also happy to discuss bespoke opportunities with businesses wishing to support the event in their own way.
Janine added: “This is about much more than one evening. The Ball gives us a fantastic opportunity to introduce Archway and the people we support to a wider audience, build new relationships and, hopefully, establish an annual event that can support our work for many years to come.
“Whether a business can sponsor part of the evening, donate a prize, offer a service or simply introduce us to someone who might be able to help, we would love to hear from them.”
For 40 years, Archway has supported children and adults with learning disabilities and their families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire through residential respite, supported living and residential care. Fundraising helps provide the additional opportunities and resources that make a real difference to the lives of the people it supports.
