Arco, the UK and Ireland’s leading safety experts, has appointed Alex Richards to drive forward its activities in Aberdeen. This includes the opening and running of a specialist Energy Safety Centre, which will help onshore and offshore operators ensure business continuity.
Having joined Arco in 1995, Alex has enjoyed great success in several roles at the company before moving up to a senior leadership level. Now accountable for three Arco business units (Hose, Energy, and International), Alex will manage 50+ colleagues with exciting plans for growth in all areas.
Alex said: “It’s an exciting time to be working for Arco in Aberdeen and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve in the energy sector and beyond. Our vision has always been to keep people and business safe, and I’m delighted by what we’re now able to offer.
“From small businesses to drilling companies, we’re bringing a competitive package to new customers and offering an enhanced service to our existing customers. They’re already queuing up to take advantage of the Energy Safety Centre.
“And as I look ahead, this new centre signifies more than just a move to a new site. My role has allowed me to grow market share in the ever-changing energy sector, and this new future-proof location shows the desire Arco has in this area.”
