Ashtead Technology, a leading provider of mission-critical subsea technology solutions, has appointed Alan McLean as head of mechanical solutions.
With global responsibility for the company’s mechanical solutions service line, Alan’s role will oversee the growth and delivery of key technology solutions including subsea cutting and recovery, lifting, pulling and deployment and offshore support equipment.
Working alongside Ashtead Technology’s team of subject matter experts, Alan will ensure excellence in technical and commercial delivery as well as acceleration of the international growth of the group’s mechanical solutions offerings.
With an energy sector career spanning more than 30 years, Alan brings a wealth of experience, leading organisations through successful global growth strategies including 14 years at Enermech where he latterly served as international commercial director.
Commenting on Alan’s appointment, Ashtead Technology chief operating officer Brett Lestrange said: “Alan joins the company at an exciting time as we continue to invest in our decommissioning and back deck capabilities, evidenced by our recent success in a major jacket decommissioning project offshore India.
