As of yesterday, Augean officially closed its doors on its NORM facility in Dundee.
Opening in 2017 to support decommissioning activities, Augean carried out many projects at Shed 36, from decontaminating large subsea structures, tubulars to smaller spools and valves, it had seen it all come through Dundee.
Exiting Dundee has come with its own challenges but with excellent teamwork from all departments, it has engaged and worked together to ensure compliant closure.
Peter Marioni, chief operating officer for North-east Scotland commented: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved with the preparations for exiting Dundee.
"This is a bittersweet moment for Augean but we are excited for the future and evolving within the decommissioning industry.
"We are currently developing and advancing our alternative NORM facilities in Peterhead and Aberdeen and we can’t wait to welcome our customers and staff to see our brand new decontamination unit. Watch this space!”
