Aberdeen-based audiovisual company AV One Solutions has closed out a year of charitable support by donating over £7,500 to its two chosen charities for 2025 - Charlie House and Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT).
Throughout the year, AV One selected the two organisations as its charities of choice, supporting them through a combination of financial donations, including proceeds from its inaugural charity golf day, and in-kind AV support. This included providing professional audiovisual equipment and technical expertise to help deliver key fundraising and community events across the North-East.
Last week, the team formally presented donations of over £4,000 to Charlie House and over £3,000 to AFCCT, marking the culmination of a year-long commitment to both causes.
Graeme McGuire, Managing Director at AV One, said: “Supporting our local community is something we genuinely care about at AV One. This year, we wanted to go beyond one-off fundraising and instead commit to supporting two charities we believe in, using both our skills and our resources to help them do what they do best.”
“Whether that’s providing AV support at events or raising funds through team initiatives, being able to hand over these donations at the end of the year is incredibly rewarding and something we’re very proud of.”
Charlie House – Emma Leiper Finlayson, Graeme McGuire and Rebecca Wink.
Charlie House is a local children's charity that aims to improve the quality of life for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, across the North-east of Scotland.
Emma Leiper Finlayson, fundraising Director at Charlie House, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to AV One for their support throughout the year. Thanks to their generosity, local children and families can receive vital practical and emotional support, and the chance to experience joy even in the hardest times, through access to inclusive and fun family activities. Just as valuable has been their practical, behind-the-scenes help at our events. Having access to professional AV equipment and support makes a real difference to what we’re able to deliver to raise funds for the families we support.”
AFCCT – Duncan Peter and Graeme McGuire
AFC Community Trust, the official charity of Aberdeen Football Club, delivers education, wellbeing, and community programmes designed to empower people of all ages across Aberdeen and the surrounding area.
Duncan Peter, business development and partnerships manager at AFCCT, added: “AV One has been a brilliant example of what meaningful local business support looks like. Their involvement has gone far beyond a financial contribution and the support they’ve provided throughout the year will directly benefit the communities we work with across the region.”
AV One plans to continue building long-term relationships with both charities into 2026 using its expertise, people and resources to make a positive impact within the communities it serves.
