Siberia Bar & Hotel’s head bartender Scott Keith is today celebrating a win as his Aberdeen Cocktail Week cocktail “The Afternoon Tea-light” was named “Cocktail of the Year” as part of this year's event.
The drink - which consisted of Tea Infused Vodka, Rinquinquin Peach Aperitif, Peach Syrup, Lemon Juice, and Lemonade - was available for the duration of this year's Cocktail Week and took home a large share of the public vote ahead of being crowned the winner by event head Gregor Sey.
Gregor commented; “I was really impressed with the range of cocktails that were created for Aberdeen Cocktail Week 2022 and I hope that initiatives like these awards can help improve the selection year on year, and importantly celebrate the bartender's, like Scott, who come up with them.”
Scott said of his win; “Given the amazing amount of talent in the Aberdeen cocktail and hospitality scene, I honestly didn't think I would win this award! Thank you to everyone that voted for the cocktail and big thanks to everyone at Siberia for letting me show my creative side with the cocktails I put together for the bar.”
To celebrate, Scott, alongside the Siberia Marketing team has released a new piece of video content across their social media channels further pushing the bartenders' creativity.
Following a video last month attempting to make a cocktail out of the illusive drink Prime, the team have this time put their skills to the test turning an Aberdeen staple, the rowie, into a drink. The video takes Scott to various Aberdeen landmarks prior to picking up a pack ofThains Bakeries' finest Rowies and making the drink.
Siberia’s marketing department continues to celebrate a successful year of content so far has amassed over 100,000 views across platforms since January.
