Aberdeen audiovisual specialist AXV Audio Visual has been named as a finalist in two categories at the prestigious AV Awards 2026, continuing an extraordinary run of industry recognition stretching back four consecutive years.
AXV Audio Visual is celebrating after securing two places on the shortlist for the AV Awards 2026, one of the audiovisual industry’s most prestigious international awards programmes.
The Aberdeen-based business has been shortlisted in two categories:
- AV Start-Up of the Year - AXV Audio Visual
- AV Professional of the Year - Adam Wilson, Managing Director, AXV Audio Visual
The latest recognition marks the fourth consecutive year that Managing Director Adam Wilson has been shortlisted for AV Professional of the Year, having first been named a finalist in 2023 and returning to the shortlist in 2024, 2025 and now 2026.
It also follows another landmark year for AXV, with the company itself returning to the AV Start-Up of the Year shortlist for the second consecutive year.
The AV Awards bring together leading professionals, manufacturers, integrators, businesses and projects from across the global audiovisual industry, recognising excellence in areas including innovation, technical expertise, leadership and business performance.
For Wilson, four consecutive appearances on the AV Professional of the Year shortlist represent a significant achievement and reflect both his own progression and the rapid development of AXV.
Adam Wilson, Managing Director of AXV Audio Visual, said: “Being shortlisted once at the AV Awards is something you are incredibly proud of, so to be recognised as AV Professional of the Year for a fourth consecutive year is difficult to put into words.

“What makes it particularly special is that this journey has happened alongside the growth of AXV. When I was first shortlisted in 2023, we were still building the foundations of the business and establishing what we wanted it to become. Four years later, we have an incredible team, an expanding client base and a business that is now being recognised in its own right.
“I see this nomination as recognition for everyone at AXV. Everything we have achieved has been built by a team that genuinely cares about doing a great job for our clients, whether that's delivering a major live event, designing an AV installation or simply being there when a customer needs support.”
The 2026 recognition comes after a particularly strong showing at last year’s awards. In 2025, AXV secured three finalist places, with the company shortlisted for AV Start-Up of the Year, Alex Sherman named as a Rising Star of the Year finalist and Wilson securing his third consecutive AV Professional of the Year nomination.
Wilson went on to receive a Highly Commended recognition in the AV Professional of the Year category.
Since establishing the business, AXV has grown its capabilities across live events, AV installation and integration, LED video wall, streaming, video production and ongoing technical support. From its base in Aberdeen, the team supports organisations and events across Scotland and throughout the UK.
Commercial Director Alex Sherman, who was himself an AV Awards Rising Star finalist in 2025, said the latest shortlist reflects the consistency of the team’s work rather than a single milestone.
Alex Sherman said: “Four years of recognition at this level reflects the consistency of the work happening across the whole business.
“We have grown significantly, but one of the things we have worked hard to protect is the way we approach our clients and projects. We want to understand what someone is actually trying to achieve and then deliver an AV solution that works for them, rather than simply supplying technology for the sake of it.
“To see Adam recognised for the fourth year running and AXV shortlisted as a business again is a huge source of pride for all of us. We are still an ambitious and relatively young company, so to be standing alongside some of the most respected names in the AV industry shows just how far the team has come, and it gives us even more motivation for what comes next.”

The AV Awards have celebrated excellence within the audiovisual industry since their launch in 1999 and recognise achievements across people, businesses, projects and technology.
The AV Awards 2026 will take place on Friday 6 November at Battersea Evolution in London, where AXV will join finalists from across the international AV industry.
