Balfour Beatty procurement teams will attend a Meet the Buyer event at the Aberdeen Music hall on the 10th September, from 10am to 3pm.
With planning permission approved in August for works to create a new Energy hub at Netherton, west of Peterhead, the event is an opportunity for local suppliers to find out more about upcoming opportunities to support Balfour Beatty’s work at the site.
As a selected partner on Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Transmission’s multi-billion-pound Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) Offshore and Onshore Frameworks, at Netherton, Balfour Beatty will undertake civil and building works to construct the Spittal to Peterhead High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Western Isles HVDC converter stations, which will enable renewable energy generated in the north of Scotland to be transmitted to demand centres throughout the UK.
Balfour Beatty procurement manager Jamie McGee said: “We welcome both seasoned suppliers and new businesses to stop by the Balfour Beatty stands and talk to us about how we can work together.”
Some of the supply chain opportunities on the project include:
- Internal Doors and Joinery
