MFGF Events, run by brothers Mungo and Guy Finlayson, presents its biggest ever Beer @ The Barn winter festival held at the Wooden Barn in Banchory on February 10 and 11.

Beer @ The Barn is a scaled down version of MFGF Events original festival, The Banchory Beer Festival, the main summer event on the brothers' calendar. This much more intimate festival is held at Woodend Barn in Banchory, where the cosy atmosphere of the venue works hand in hand with the carefully selected range of available drinks, food and music.

This year, the brothers have collaborated with Summerhouse drinks to develop a one of a kind Banchory Beer Festival Earl Grey infused tonic water, and Deeside Brewery, to create their unique Festive Brew. Along with these exclusive drinks, specially selected beverages from UK based boutique suppliers: Six Degrees North, Durris’ 7 Brewing, and Deeside’s own Dark Matter Rum will also feature, as well as many others.

MFGF Event’s co founder & operations director, Mungo Finlayson said: “The success of these events is down to the local people in our Deeside community. They see our dedication to local suppliers, which at a time like this in Aberdeen is increasingly important. We want to increase awareness and the significance of supporting our local businesses and communities.”

Finlayson continues: “This year we will introduce Prosecco at our winter festival. Prosecco has always been a popular choice at our summer events and the feedback from past attendees was that it was missing from our previous winter festivals. We listened to our dedicated festival goers and are looking forward to welcoming them back, along with any first time festival attendees.”

Beer @ the Barn 2017 will run over the February 10 and 11. Three sessions will be held over the two days; Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening – with the latter already sold out. The event is once again working in partnership with Stagecoach buses, providing an additional 00.15 service back to Aberdeen city center on the Friday and Saturday night.

All ticketed sessions will feature great live music, with various bands such as Mad Ferrets, Loki and The Funcy Pieces, as well as a selection of locally sourced food.
