The 2024 Two Towns Big Ideas economic development project for Banff and Macduff has been shortlisted as a finalist in the SURF Awards 2025 (Scotland's Regeneration Forum).
The grant fund project has been shortlisted in the 'Improving Scotland's Places' category with a judging panel due in the towns next week to see for themselves what the funding delivered for the six grant funded projects:
i. Bicentenary Exhibition of General Jose de San Martin by Banff Preservation & Heritage Society/Museum of Banff
ii. Year-round skateboard coaching sessions and events to children, teenagers, and young adults by CattleSkate Academy CIC
iii. Banffshire Highland Day by Banff Castle Community Centre - Banffshire
iv. Macduff & Banff Youth Hub (MBYH) by students from Banff Academy and A Place in Childhood
v. Mission Connect Town Centre event by students at Banff Academy
vi. Accessible and Inclusive Outside Event Space by The Forge Banff
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on 4th December.
