Pupils at Brimmond School in Bucksburn are set to benefit from a new outdoor learning and play space, created by a team of volunteers from Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland.
A team of 14 experienced housebuilders joined experts from LIFE Landscaping to transform the outdoor space over five days into a beautifully designed learning and play area. Lined with newly planted wildflowers, bark and willow trees, it has been created to bring nature-based learning into everyday school life.
The transformation was made possible through the Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland Community Fund, which will provide over £63,000 this year to charities and community groups in the areas where the housebuilders build.
Backed by the Barratt Redrow Foundation, the charitable arm of Barratt Redrow, the fund has already shared £7,500 between four organisations across the North of Scotland, including Aberdeen cancer charity Friends of Anchor and children’s charity Charlie House.
