As a part of Elevator’s FounderFusion season, the event provides a collaborative, networking environment for potential co-founders and techpreneurs of tomorrow’s health innovation scale-up ventures.
Now one of the most profitable technology sectors, with a growth rate of 200% in the last decade, HealthTech provides an attractive opportunity for businesses which can revolutionise our health services; and ultimately improve the lives of millions of people all over the country and beyond.
Elevator’s Health Tech Connect will feature 2 renowned speakers and influencers in the Scottish Health Tech sector. Dr Jamie Hogg, GP and Innovation in HealthCare Specialist and former finalist of the Scottish Health Awards 2014, will give his unique insight into the industry. Also appearing is David Brand, Business Development Manager of Scottish Health Innovations. Scottish Health Innovations work in association with the NHS to improve the standard of national Health Technology and David will be able to give attendees his outlook on the sector and the innovations and challenges involved in creating success.
In addition, we will also be joined by recent Accelerator alumni Barry Leaper of LiberEat, who has developed an app which provides alternative options to shoppers with intolerances, allergies or ethical aversions to certain ingredients in food, drink and cosmetics.
Participants attending the event will identify as a Hustler, Hacker or Hipster; each role represents the business, technological and creative inputs ideally needed to co-found a successful, scalable business idea. The event will also give attendees the chance to work cohesively with others to generate ideas, refine these ideas and select a final proposal for a group pitching session. The main objective is to get the creative juices of the participants following, to generate collaborative thought and bring together the co-founders of tomorrow’s Health Tech success stories.
