We have a great team of smart people at our Chamber that do brilliant things every day, delivering support and value for our members.
In fact they’re so good that occasionally our members will recognise their ability and offer them a great job, with new challenges and new opportunity.
When that happens we feel sad, but we also celebrate their success and feel proud about the small part we have been able to play in helping them succeed.
Other people feel joy!
They’re the people that recognise the opportunity that has opened up and wonder if they could be part of our team. So if you’re looking for a new challenge in 2017, we might just have the right job for you.

The Chamber has a strong and trusted brand in the North-east business community
Marketing & Communications Lead
Over the last few years our (soon to be ex) colleague Joanna has led her team and delivered our new brand profile, developed a new website, massively improved our media coverage, redesigned our monthly magazine, sorted our social media reach and put out screeds of editorial content. All of her team’s work has been designed to deliver more coverage for our members and for our brand.
Now you may be thinking, what else is there to do? Well there’s loads.
We want to grow our magazine content, improve the user journey on our website, deliver a marketing strategy that will bring even bigger audiences to our events, more delegates to our training courses, and convince even more companies to join our membership.
And even more importantly, we want to keep building our profile as the North-east Scotland’s leading business membership organisation.
We have some big projects next year, and big boots to fill.

The Business Bulletin plays a key part in our communications
Marketing & Communications Executive
We have some big projects next year, and a new pair of boots as this new role will increase our ability to deliver marketing support for the ambitious plans we have.
Copy will need to be written, creative ideas will need to be thought through, content devised and results delivered.
You’ll help to plan content across a range of channels, help new projects achieve results and support the team to deliver our objectives.
You will have gained some experience in producing content, supporting PR campaigns, marketing and social media development.
I guess we’re looking for someone who can show they have good experience in some aspects of the role and the capacity to develop in others. You don’t need to be an all-rounder, but you do need to be ready to learn.
If you’re ready for the challenge, we want to hear from you.

The prestigious Northern Star Business Awards is one of the many events run by our events team
Commercial Events Lead
You don’t need to be called Kim to work here, but we are looking for someone who is as organised, driven and as commercially astute as she is.
We have a successful events team, delivering more events than any other Chamber in Britain.
This year we delivered over 130 events attended by almost 8,000 delegates who heard from over 100 speakers and experts. In 2017 we plan to deliver to an even bigger audience and to develop the range of events that we manage.
There’ll be more TUBS, a tourism conference, development of the Northern Star Business Awards, a new Vanguard series and more in the pipeline.
Events is a small team of smart people supported by an even bigger team of enthusiasts who help to shape the programme to support the solid pillar in our aim to be “the Ultimate Business Network”.
You’ll need to demonstrate a good understanding of marketing, sales and income generation and in managing projects. You will have excellent people skills, be digitally competent and have the ability to engage and contribute to our social media channels and web content to promote activity.
We can offer a great place to work and the opportunity to develop your skills in a stimulating and professional environment where the ability to be responsive and to work at pace is essential.
If you want to be part of creating the Ultimate Business Network, we want to hear from you.

It's a great team to work with - Isabel enjoys it so much, she's been here for 50 years!
