For over 30 years, Beannachar has been supporting young adults with additional support needs by helping them develop work skills, improve their health and wellbeing, and achieve greater independence.
Situated on a tranquil 28-acre site in Aberdeenshire, Beannachar is home to 112 people, including 32 young adults aged 18-33, staff, and gap year volunteers.
The community includes a historic organic walled garden, established woodlands, residential houses, and workshop buildings where young people engage in meaningful work such as harvesting produce, herb drying, cooking, woodworking, and crafting handmade beeswax candles. Through these activities, students can earn Active Citizen Awards, which Beannachar has developed to provide recognition for those unable to access mainstream qualifications.
To raise awareness of the outstanding work at Beannachar, the Beannachar Business Par 3 (9 Hole) Golf Challenge 2025 will take place on Monday 1 September at the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a fun and engaging round of golf while supporting Beannachar, a Camphill Community dedicated to helping young adults with additional support needs.
For just £220, your team can join us for a memorable day that combines a shorter, more accessible golfing experience with the chance to network with colleagues, clients, and fellow business leaders. Tee times are available from 0930am to 2pm, and each team will enjoy tea/coffee and a hot roll before their round.

The winning team will enjoy a special ceremony at Beannachar, where local golf professional and former British Open Champion, Paul Lawrie, will present the team prize – the Beannachar Business Golf Challenge Claret Jug. Each team member will also receive a unique prize handcrafted by the young adults attending Beannachar.
