With just a handful of team spaces remaining, Befriend a Child is calling on local businesses and golf enthusiasts to take part in its much-loved Annual Charity Golf Day.
You can enjoy a day out with colleagues whilst raising vital funds for children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
The event takes place on Thursday 28 August 2025 at the stunning Newmachar Golf Club, promising a day of friendly competition, networking and community spirit. All funds raised will directly support Befriend a Child’s programmes, which match trained volunteers with children and young people facing challenging life situations. These relationships provide friendship, stability and opportunities to take part in activities that help boost confidence, self-esteem and resilience. Last year alone, the charity supported 250 children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Katie Kyle, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Befriend a Child, said: “We are so excited for our upcoming Golf Day and can’t wait to welcome everyone on the day. It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a brilliant round of golf with colleagues or clients while knowing you’re making a real difference to local children who need our support most.”
