Befriend a Child is delighted to announce that its 2026 Ladies’ Golf Day raised an incredible £2,515, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting children and young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, the Ladies’ Golf Day returned to Kippie Lodge on Friday 4th September 2026, bringing together teams of enthusiastic golfers for another fantastic day of sport, friendship and fundraising.
With sunshine, plenty of laughter and a brilliant atmosphere on the course, the event was a huge success. A special congratulations goes to the winning team from Lumphanan Golf Club, and Befriend a Child express a huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a memorable one.
This year, Befriend a Child was also delighted to welcome professional golfer Laura Beveridge, who joined the ladies for the day and shared her top tips, advice and experience. Her involvement was a fantastic addition to the event, with teams enjoying the opportunity to learn from and chat with a professional golfer in a relaxed setting.
Befriend a Child would like to extend its sincere thanks to Kippie Lodge Sports & Leisure Club for hosting the event once again, as well as to Jo, Captain of the Kippie Ladies Golf Section, for her support in the lead-up to and throughout the day. The charity is also hugely grateful to all the players, supporters and everyone who donated and contributed to the total raised.

We look forward to seeing this become a real staple in our events calendar for years to come.”
The total raised will help Befriend a Child continue providing befriending, mentoring and support to children and young people facing difficult life circumstances, helping them build confidence, develop positive relationships and enjoy new experiences.

Following another successful event, Befriend a Child is already looking ahead to next year’s Ladies’ Golf Day, which is already shaping up to be a sell-out event, and is inviting local organisations to get involved.
