The benefits of being physically active will be the topic of the next CLAN Cancer Support coffee morning in Inverurie next month.

Katie Brodie from Macmillan Move More Aberdeenshire will give a talk about exercise tips and why leading a physically active lifestyle both during and post cancer treatment can have a wide range of benefits.

The coffee morning will take place on Monday April 3 at the Catholic Church Hall in North Street, Inverurie at 10.30am and is open to all.

Gemma Powell, CLAN’s Aberdeenshire area services co-ordinator, said: “Katie is very experienced and will share practical information and guidance about how everyone can become more active.

“All of the services we offer at CLAN are designed to support those who have been affected by cancer and the coffee morning talk will provide information about the benefits of being physically active as well as offering support in an informal group session. Information on the full range of cancer support services that CLAN offers will also be available.”

CLAN Cancer Support’s Inverurie base is open three days a week and offers a drop-in service, complementary therapies, counselling and monthly coffee mornings.
