Bethan Customs Consultancy is proud to announce its official sponsorship of the “Inspiring Women in Construction” category at the 2026 Trades Awards!
Now in its 14th year, the Trades Awards is the North of Scotland’s largest celebration of the construction industry, bringing together over 400 professionals annually to highlight the outstanding achievements, projects, and people shaping our region
Celebrating a record-breaking category.
The “Inspiring Women in Construction” category was created to celebrate the extraordinary women making an impact across every corner of the sector - whether on site, in technical roles, leading teams or delivering vital support functions.
Bethan believes that great business is about people - nurturing talent, supporting the local business community and celebrating those who go above and beyond - and is thrilled to learn that this category made history this year by attracting the highest number of individual entries ever received for a single category in the Trades Awards’ 14 years.
Following the selection process, four exceptional finalists have been shortlisted for the “Inspiring Women in Construction” 2026:
- Catherine Dryburgh from Barratt Homes
- Dr Whitney Bevan from Robert Gordon University
- Michelle Forth-Burnett from Safety Scotland
- Nicola Fraser from KR Group
Bethan’s Director, Nicola Alexander says: "Supporting the “Inspiring Women in Construction” category feels like a natural extension of everything we stand for at Bethan. As a team built on a practical, people-first ethos, we know firsthand how vital it is to foster talent and celebrate leadership at every level.
"The response to this award shows just how much inspiring talent exists across the North East, and we’re hugely proud to play a part in recognising these remarkable women."
Looking ahead to the awards ceremony.
The winners across all categories will be announced at the Trades Awards ceremony on Friday 30th October 2026 at the Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen where Bethan will join fellow industry leaders to celebrate all the nominees.
Good luck to all.
