Bethan Customs Consultancy has been long-term supporters and fundraisers for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, as its Director, Nicola Alexander, is a close friend of the family and Nicola became involved as a trustee back in 2012.
The team have always been proud to support events for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, and in 2026 wanted to do more. By involving the team more closely and moving beyond ad-hoc support, Bethan has taken its commitment up a notch making them our main charity partner for the year.
Kayleigh’s Wee Stars - the charity
Kayleigh’s Wee Stars was set-up in 2012 to provide financial support for families where a child has a terminal illness. Based in Oldmeldrum, the charity has built strong connections in hospitals and hospices across Scotland to ensure families know about the charity and work closely with their dedicated health professionals to provide the support they need.
To date, over 700 families have been supported and over £1million paid out in grants.
Kayleigh’s Wee Stars is funded through fundraising from their own events, opportunities to participate in additional events as an affiliated charity, and from people choosing to fundraise for the charity through a variety of means - whether a sporting event, work/school-based challenges or memorial collections.
Bethan’s 2026 charity pledge
Bethan’s support will include financial, such as sponsorship and supporting events, like Kayleigh’s Wee Stars Ladies Day and the Run Barra Race; and providing practical support and in-person support. This will look like some of the Bethan Team actively volunteering at events, manning the water stand, handing out prizes or helping at the Ladies Day and Charity Cycle Ride.
Kayleigh’s Wee Stars will also have access to the meeting space in Bethan HQ when needed.
As well as having a more active role in Kayleigh’s Wee Stars charity events, the Bethan team will organise fundraising events throughout the year, such as a team walking challenge in June and a coffee morning later in the year.
Aby Wilson, Bethan’s Office Manager, Aby Wilson says: “The goal is to raise the charity's profile in the Bethan networks and among our clients, suppliers and industry peers; as well as raising much-needed funds to support the work that Kayleigh’s Wee Stars do for the community. There are some exciting things in the pipeline that we will be doing to support this amazing charity and we’ll share over the coming months via our newsletter and social media.”
