Scottish event company Black Tartan has secured a second successful investment round from Maki & Ramen founder Teddy Lee, strengthening the partnership as both businesses continue their rapid expansion.
Chef Teddy Lee, the entrepreneur behind Scotland’s third-fastest growing company, first backed Black Tartan earlier this year, bringing experience in building a distinctive hospitality brand and amassing a cult following.
The latest investment follows Black Tartan’s expansion into five new cities, including the production of a fan-favourite live tour featuring the stars of legendary sitcom Still Game.
Co-founders Johnny Brooks and Alan Soutar now look to bring their unique backgrounds together, combining Soutar’s career as a leading PDC darts player with Brooks’ media background, to create exciting new live experiences for darts fans.
The pair have also teased plans to launch new entertainment concepts using the funds raised.
