Bon Accord Heritage is delighted to have been successful in securing a £50,000 award from the Scottish Government's Just Transition Fund (JTF).

This award will allow the charity to take a hugely significant step forward in their plans for the restoration of Bon Accord Baths by developing an energy strategy to make the reopened facility much more energy efficient, thus substantially reducing future running costs.

The aspiration is to deliver the first retrofit of a heritage pool that achieves passive house standard.

Local companies and specialists in their field will complete this stage of the work by next spring funded by the JTF award.

Alongside the energy package of work, part of the award will be used to develop a fundraising strategy to identify key funders for the next development and delivery phases.

Bon Accord Heritage is always keen to discuss the project with other businesses that share their vision to 'Save Bon Accord Baths' and contribute towards a more vibrant city centre in Aberdeen.
