Brodies LLP, Scotland’s largest law firm, unveils six new partners as a result of its latest round of promotions, and reports 6% growth in people in the last 12 months.
Aberdeen-based Leigh Gould, Rhona McFarlane and Fiona Herrell step up to partner in their respective areas of personal and family, oil & gas and employment while Lucy McCann and Chris Duff become partners in litigation and Graeme Leith is assumed as partner in real estate. Lucy, Chris and Graeme are all based in the firm’s Edinburgh Office.
Growth in Brodies’ dedicated oil & gas team has also continued with Laura Petrie, who will be based in Aberdeen, joining the firm as legal director.
These latest appointments come as Brodies records a 6% increase in people, up from 645 the previous year to 688, including 102 partners.

In addition to the partner promotions and new appointments, Brodies has confirmed that 23 senior solicitors have been promoted to associate. The firm has also retained 11 of its trainees as newly qualified lawyers and recruitment is on-going to appoint a further 22 to join the firm in Autumn.
