Befriend a Child is calling on members of the chamber to tee off for a great cause by securing one of the last remaining team spaces at its Annual Charity Golf Day.
Taking place on Thursday, August 27 at Newmachar Golf Club, the popular corporate fundraising event offers businesses the chance to enjoy a fantastic day of golf, strengthen relationships with colleagues and clients, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of local children and young people.
Befriend a Child supports children and young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who are growing up in challenging life circumstances. Through its befriending, mentoring, group activities and family support, the charity provides positive relationships, new experiences and opportunities that help build confidence, resilience and brighter futures. Funds raised from the Charity Golf Day will help ensure more local children can access this life-changing support.
Teams of four can enter for £650, with the package including breakfast rolls with tea or coffee on arrival, an 18-hole Texas Scramble, a delicious two-course lunch in the clubhouse and a prize-giving ceremony. The day promises plenty of friendly competition, networking opportunities and memorable moments, all while supporting a local cause.
Katie Kyle, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Befriend a Child, said:
"We're incredibly excited to welcome businesses from across the region to this year's Charity Golf Day. It's always one of the highlights of our fundraising calendar, bringing together fantastic local organisations for a day of friendly competition, networking and fun. By taking part, teams won't just enjoy a brilliant day on the course, they'll be helping local children and young people create positive childhood memories, build confidence and access the support they deserve. We only have a handful of team spaces remaining, so we'd encourage businesses to book now to avoid missing out."
Befriend a Child would also like to extend its sincere thanks to CNR, Eagle Sponsor for this year's event. Their generous support plays an important role in helping the charity maximise the funds raised, ensuring even more children and young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire can benefit from its vital services.
Businesses interested in entering a team are encouraged to book soon before the remaining spaces are filled.
