C-Tecnics has launched Cyclops+, a compact diver-mounted unit combining a low-light subsea camera, LED light and depth sensor within a single low-profile housing.

Developed for professional full-face mask diving, Cyclops+ addresses the bulk associated with mounting separate camera and light assemblies around the mask. Bringing the functions together reduces the need for individual brackets and mounting arrangements.

The unit mounts onto a rail system alongside the diver’s mask and is shown fitted to an Interspiro Divator. Its acetal housing measures 91 mm × 29.5 mm × 69.5 mm, excluding the connector, and has a stated operating depth of 100 m.

The integrated camera provides live underwater video supported by LED illumination. The built-in depth sensor supplies depth information to a surface system configured for Cyclops+, with depth displayed in metres to two decimal places.

A combined umbilical carries the video signal, lighting power, depth sensor signal and diver communications. The diver end has a dual-branch breakout connecting to Cyclops+ and the C-Tecnics AGA/Divator communications assembly. An optional Chinese finger strain relief, attachment loop and carabiner provide a tethering point to the diver’s harness.

Two surface options are available. The CVN C-Vision Nano Video Capture System connects to a suitable customer-supplied laptop or computer. The CV2 C-Vision Video and Communications System provides an integrated computer, display and keyboard, with video and communications functions.

Cyclops+ is intended for professional diving applications including commercial diving, search and rescue, police diving, defence and marine science.
