Aberdeen-based subsea engineering and manufacturing company C-Tecnics has welcomed Lee Duncan back to the business as its new business development director.
Lee previously worked with C-Tecnics as business development manager between 2012 and 2014, so he will already be a familiar face to many of the company’s longstanding customers and industry contacts. He returns with more than a decade of additional experience gained across the commercial diving and wider subsea industries.
Throughout his career, Lee has held senior positions spanning business development, sales, strategy, compliance and technical management. His previous roles include managing director, compliance director and senior business development positions with subsea support companies.
Lee also created a planned maintenance system designed specifically for the commercial diving sector and aligned with IMCA requirements. This experience has given him a strong understanding of the operational, commercial and compliance challenges faced by diving contractors and other organisations working across the industry.
In his new role, Lee will be a key point of contact for C-Tecnics’ customers, working closely with them to understand their requirements and support their current and upcoming projects. His existing knowledge of the business, its products and the wider industry will allow him to provide informed, practical support from the outset.
Already well known to many of C-Tecnics’ customers and industry contacts, Lee is looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, building new relationships and working with the company’s international distributor network. He will also help develop new commercial opportunities across the company’s core markets.
Lee Duncan, business development director at C-Tecnics, said: “It’s great to return to C-Tecnics and see some familiar faces, alongside many new members of the team, new clients and an expanding product range. The growth of the company has been fantastic to see, and I’m excited to build on that progress and help drive the next stage of C-Tecnics’ development.”
Scott Younger, managing director at C-Tecnics, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome new members to the C-Tecnics team who bring fresh experience, ideas and opportunities to support our continued growth. With new products such as the Hubro virtual pan and tilt camera, we also have an exciting opportunity to introduce C-Tecnics technology to a wider network of customers and new markets.”
Lee joins C-Tecnics during a period of continued investment for the company. Following its move to larger headquarters in Aberdeen, C-Tecnics has expanded its engineering, manufacturing and production capabilities while continuing to develop new equipment and systems for underwater and topside operations.
With operations in the UK and Norway, C-Tecnics supports customers across the commercial diving, offshore energy, defence, marine science and survey sectors through equipment sales, rental and bespoke engineered solutions.
Working alongside the company’s sales, engineering and production teams, Lee will help ensure that customers continue to receive responsive support, clear communication and solutions shaped around the practical needs of their operations.
