Caffe Nero has announced that it will permanently close one of its Union Street cafes today.
The unexpected announcement was made after a sign was posted on the front door at the corner of Market Street and Union Street.
It read: “It is with great sadness that we regret to inform you that this store will close permanently close this Thursday, May 18 at 4pm.
“We would like to take a moment to thank all our wonderful customers for their continued support over the years.”
No reason has been provided for the immediate closure.
