Cairngorm Bothies and Cairngorm Lodges have won the Accommodation Award in the prestigious Scottish Mountain Bike Awards by DMBinS (Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland).

The accolade recognises the premium quality of the properties and their commitment to providing the ultimate base for riders tackling local trails, including the acclaimed Tarland Trails and routes within the Cairngorms National Park.

The properties successfully blend high-end luxury with the practical, functional needs of mountain bikers, such as secure bike storage, dedicated wash-down facilities, and excellent drying areas for gear after a day on the Aberdeenshire trails.

Gordon Drummond, owner of Cairngorm Bothies and Lodges, said: "Winning this award is fantastic, but the real win is knowing we are providing an ideal base for riders: From tackling the challenging Tarland Trails to relaxing by a woodburning stove afterwards, we've designed an experience that truly supports and rewards the biking community."

The businesses also extended gratitude to the community for their support, specifically acknowledging Will Clarke of NEAT (North East Adventure Tourism) for his assistance in helping the properties connect with the wider North East Scotland mountain biking network.
