The visionary owner behind Cairngorm Bothies is taking their dedication to green practices a step further.

Dr. Gordon Drummond will be attending ASSC's Member Gathering on Monday, 22 April, which celebrates Earth Day and the 45th anniversary of the Association of Scotland's Self Caterers. Cairngorm Bothies' off-grid and eco-friendly approach to self-catering perfectly aligns with the event's focus on responsible and sustainable tourism.

Key note speakers for the event, include Tiomóid Foley, VisitScotland Net Zero Manager, and Scott MacLean, Managing Director of Green Tourism.

Additionally, ASSC CEO, Fiona Campbell, will provide updates on pertinent topics such as Short-Term Let Licensing and Planning, Furnishing Holiday Letting Abolition, and the Visitor Levy along with the recent ban on wood burning stoves and fire pits in new properties.

Dr. Gordon Drummond will join sustainability advocates Clare Winskill and David Fleming Lewington on a panel titled "Leading Change: Empowering the Self-Catering Sector for Responsible Tourism and Climate Action."

This is an opportunity for him to contribute his expertise and experiences in running his highly successful green tourism businesses, Cairngorm Lodges and Cairngorm Bothies.
