Cairngorm Bothies, the peaceful eco-friendly retreat in Royal Deeside, has confirmed it will participate in Doors Open Day for the third consecutive year.
On Sunday, September 21, the public will have a unique opportunity to visit the award-winning properties and discover more about their sustainable practices and the beautiful Scots Pine forest setting in which they are located.
Doors Open Day is a free event that allows the public to explore buildings and sites that are not normally accessible, providing a glimpse into the rich heritage and innovative businesses across the region.
Cairngorm Bothies’ participation offers visitors a chance to see firsthand how the business balances tourism with a firm commitment to environmental responsibility. Guests will be able to tour the bothies and learn about the sustainable design features and their off-grid operation.
Dr. Gordon Drummond, the business owner, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. "We are thrilled to be part of Doors Open Day for the third time," he said.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to welcome the local community and visitors to our bothies and show them how we've created a sustainable business that works in harmony with the stunning natural environment around us. We look forward to sharing our story and celebrating the day with everyone."
