CALA triumphs at Pride in the Job awards

Two Site Managers from CALA Homes (North) have scooped a prestigious award in recognition of their commitment to the highest standards in housebuilding.

Commended for their work at CALA’s Oldfold Village development in Milltimber and The Links at Dubford in Bridge of Don respectively, Rob Swanson and Fred Anderson have both landed the ‘Pride in the Job’ award 2017.

Receiving more than 16,000 applicants, the Pride in the Job accolade was awarded to the top 450 site managers across the UK.

Rob, who currently manages Oldfold Village alongside Marcus Paterson, helped lead the development to its second consecutive NHBC award win – an outstanding achievement which demonstrates CALA’s consistent standard of excellent work.

Mike Naysmith, managing director, CALA Homes (North), praised the managers on attaining these prestigious awards and commended their wider development teams for their invaluable and continued support.

He said: “We are very proud of Fred and Rob for obtaining their ‘Pride in the Job’ awards. Our site managers set the standard when it comes to excellence on site – which is why we see such fantastic results across our developments.

“To have two of them recognised with the highest industry accolade a site manager can receive is just brilliant.

“We would also like to congratulate Fred Anderson for his spectacular third consecutive win for The Links at Dubford, which takes his tally to nine NHBC awards and three Seals of Approval commendations.

“The awards demonstrate an outstanding level of consistency and we are so proud of Fred for the constant support he provides CALA and his team.”

Organised by NHBC, the UK's leading new home warranty insurance provider, ‘Pride in the Job’ is the most highly regarded competition in the house building industry, dedicated to recognising site managers and their construction teams who achieve the highest standards in house building. It has been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes for 37 years.

Fred Anderson said: “It is a great feeling to be recognised with the highest industry prize, however this simply wouldn’t have been possible without the support of a quality team, in particular James Robertson and Iain Macrae.

“There is an expectation of high quality as standard at every CALA development, something that really helps maintain focus on delivering the best we can for our customers.”

The NHBC accolade follows CALA Homes’ recent Scottish Home Awards (SHA) ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ win, calling for a double celebration within the team.

Further enhancing CALA’s outstanding contribution to customer service, the SHA award supports the recent Home Builders Federation, National New Homes customer satisfaction survey, which announced that on average over the past eight years, 93% of CALA’s customers have been willing to recommend CALA to a friend.
