The Archie Foundation is proud to support babies, children, and families across the north of Scotland, ensuring every child has equal access to world-class healthcare and that these healthcare environments are welcoming and engaging.
One of the charity's latest projects is centred in the Aberdeenshire town of Fraserburgh, where The Archie Foundation is working in partnership with the Fraserburgh Child Development Unit to transform the environment for the children and families who rely on its specialist services.
The project began with a simple request for toys to help enhance the experience of young patients attending the unit. Thanks to Archie supporters, these items were quickly funded. However, ongoing conversations with the clinical team highlighted an opportunity to create an even greater impact.
The Archie Foundation is now working towards delivering a series of improvements that will significantly enhance both the environment and the care experience for children attending the unit. Planned improvements include:
- Colourful wall graphics (designed by Johanna Basford) to create a welcoming and engaging space for young minds
- Track and hoist installation into the clinic room, helping the team support and see more children who require specialist care
- Upgrades to desk space for staff, worktops, and increased storage throughout the room, making the space more functional and flow better for everyday use.
- And a range of other enhancements designed to improve the experience of children, families and staff alike
Together, these improvements have the potential to positively impact hundreds of local children and families for many years to come. To help make this vision a reality, The Archie Foundation is calling on the support of the local business community.
Introducing the Fraserburgh Glitter Ball 2026!
To help raise the funds needed for this exciting project, The Archie Foundation is delighted to launch the Fraserburgh Glitter Ball 2026.
Taking place at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre on Friday, 2nd October 2026, this fundraising event will bring together businesses, community groups, and supporters from across the region for an evening of entertainment, networking, and fundraising.
