Capito is catching up with some of the staff recruitment highlights that were delayed by lockdown. This week, the company is officially welcoming Steven Clark to the team.
After joining as team leader in the Aberdeen office in February 2020, Steven soon found his ability to perform under challenging circumstances put to the ultimate test.
Responsible for managing a team of four break-fix engineers who provide service delivery to our client NHS Grampian, the team’s main duties are to install and repair a variety of IT hardware, such as desktop PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, etc, which is predominantly done on-site in hospitals, surgeries and offices.
The outbreak of CV19 and the resulting access restrictions saw a requirement for the team to adapt their working practices and repairs, and maintenance work was completed remotely wherever possible. Lockdown restrictions also meant that IT equipment became even more vital so the team has been assisting with software support to keep things running as smoothly as possible for the client.
While admitting that lots of stress and hard work defined this period, Steven says that it was also very rewarding. He particularly enjoys working with a supportive and experienced team who all pull together and Steven also commented that he finds the client great to work with too.
In his downtime, Steven is a keen musician who owns almost 20 guitars and is looking forward to getting back to jamming with his friends when circumstances allow. He also enjoys writing poetry and lyrics.
