Aberdeen's BrewDog bar on Union Street is set to reopen to customers from midday today.

The popular bar closed abruptly when BrewDog fell into administration, but staff were seen inside last week working to prepare the venue for reopening.

And that reopening, The Press and Journal reports, has now been confirmed with the first pints poured at noon today.

It comes as the BrewDog's new US owner Tilray Brands announced it has struck its first major deal since purchasing the company for £33million in March.

It has agreed a 12-month partnership, The Times reports, with live entertainment specialist Underbelly to supply its venues and festivals.

That includes sites at this summer’s Fringe as well as the Underbelly Boulevard Soho in London.

BrewDog will also become the official beer supplier for Christmas at Trafalgar Square and Skate, a pop-up ice rink at Leicester Square in London.

Prior to its insolvency, BrewDog had struck a number of partnership deals with major events and venues, including the London Stadium and Lord's Cricket Ground.
