The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025 are already plotting their course to the Granite City this July – bringing a wealth of opportunities for sponsors to get involved in this once-in-a-generation event.
The arrival of these 50 beautiful vessels and the celebrations around them – from big names playing sell-out Quayside Concerts to the Red Arrows dazzling in the North-east skies – will put Aberdeen firmly in the spotlight on a national and international stage.
That creates an outstanding showcase, at home and abroad, for local businesses and organisations who choose to become sponsors and support an event that is expected to attract 400,000 visits to Aberdeen.
It’s a tempting proposition that has already brought a shipload of sponsors on board, said Emma Wadee, project manager for The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen, which is being brought here by Aberdeen City Council, Port of Aberdeen and Aberdeen Inspired.
“We cannot thank enough the many organisations and firms who have already agreed to be sponsors for The Tall Ships Races. It is a vote of confidence in the event and the huge benefits it will bring to the city and the region,” said Emma.
“Their generous support is vital in ensuring the Tall Ships will be a huge success that leaves a lasting legacy, while also bringing their own business a phenomenal level of exposure.”
Sponsors who have stepped forward so far include Serica Energy, Peterson Energy Logistics, Dales Marine, University of Aberdeen and a host of other major players from across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
A diverse range of packages are still available for all budgets, from the unique Host Port Sponsor to culture and entertainment opportunities or supporting sail trainees on their once-in-a-lifetime voyage.
Recently added to the roster is a sponsorship package for a planned Family Zone, which could bring a range of attractions to Blaikies Quay, including a Ferris wheel and even a beach.
Benefits for sponsors include everything from branding to media coverage to parties on board ships, VIP access and volunteering opportunities.
Emma said: “There are many ways in which organisations and firms can get involved in showing their support while the Tall Ships Races Aberdeen are here – even simple but welcome things such as local shops, restaurants, bars and attractions offering goodies and discounts for sail trainees or our army of volunteers.
“We recently marked the 100 days to go milestone until the fleet arrives and we have seen the level of excitement and interest in The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen really move up a gear.
“So please, don’t hesitate, act now and join the crew of Team Tall Ships Aberdeen.”
