Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce has launched a new Ambassadors Programme, bringing influential business leaders from across the North-east together to help support local businesses and boost the ongoing development of the regional economy.
The 13 Ambassadors, selected from among the Chamber’s most active member companies, will help connect companies across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, creating new relationships by facilitating networking opportunities and being a visible presence at Chamber events.
The Ambassadors met earlier this month to sign an official Charter. Among them was Nicky Carnie, owner and director of Cognition Coaching. She said: "I decided to be part of the programme so that I can encourage other businesses to get involved with the Chamber. Since becoming a member last year, I've had great exposure for my executive coaching and bespoke people development business, both online and face-to-face, through articles in the Business Bulletin and networking events. The Chamber is really influential in supporting and making positive changes to our local region and I want to be a part of that."
Head of membership Seona Shand said: “Our Ambassadors are a highly visible prestigious group of volunteers who give their time to provide a crucial link between the Chamber, its members and the wider business community. They are passionate about working with us to support the business community and are firmly committed to helping create the buoyant, diversified regional economy that will enable our North-east organisations to be more successful and prosperous.”
