Chamber appoints new finance director

Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce has appointed Sue Stephenson as its new finance & corporate services director.

The appointment follows the retirement of Gordon Prentice, who is stepping down at the end of the month after over 10 years at the Chamber.

Sue held the post of finance manager at Aberdeen Sports Village, which she had held since its inception seven years ago and where, as part of the senior management team, she played a key role in its successful growth.

Prior to this, she worked for the University of Aberdeen and Oracle Financial Education

Sue is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, holds an MBA from Durham University and is a member of the Board of Management for Langstane Housing Association.

Chief executive at the Chamber Russell Borthwick said: “I’m delighted that Sue is joining the team and I’m confident that she will play a big part in helping is deliver our vision and plans for the Chamber.”
